I'm creating this for my daughter who recently lost her precious angel. Kody was so happy to be a mom for a second time, as she and her husband already have a beautiful little boy who is 2. The baby was doing well and she was preparing for her family to be a little bigger.
On June 18th, 2014 she rushed to the hospital due to bleeding. The portable ultrasound revealed the baby's heartbeat was very slow. By the time they got a regular ultrasound tech called in they were not sharing any information. After agonizing hours of no answers, the doctor came in to tell her that her sweet angel had passed away. She was devastated. Then she was sent home to wait it out.
On Friday the 20th at 8AM, she went to see a specialist to discuss options. Due to the risks to Kody's health, they directed her to head straight to the hospital to deliver the baby.
Due to complications the baby was delivered at 6:26 on Saturday morning. But Kody was still losing too much blood. She held on for her husband and little boy as the blood loss made her lose consciousness. It became necessary to take her to the OR for the placenta to be removed and to check for internal bleeding. She also had to have a blood transfusion as she had already lost too much of her own.
Kody has pulled through and is out of the hospital, but due to the high costs of the medications she is currently only able to afford about half of the medications prescribed to her. She is going without the medicine which keeps her from bleeding out (full cost of the medication for 9 pills in $764 but even the $200 she has to pay for them is too much on top of everything else right now.) She's also going without any pain medications.
Kody's loving husband took time off work to be with her and the hospital bills are mounting. Any help even a few dollars would be appreciated immensly. She needs to get healthy and strong for her beautiful two year old, Jacob.
