Medical & other costs

Donation protected
Steve Mathews was in a bad motorcycle accident while out riding for the Big Bikes For Little Tykes fundraiser ride. His medical expenses have hit over $150,000 so far. This only includes 1 hospital and does not include home care and follow up visits. He is also not able to work and will be off work for at least 3 months if not more.

Just to put any questions to rest, Steve's blood work from the hospital came back zero for anything other than blood. Some people tend to think that when a motorcyclist has an accident that it is always alcohol related-not the case here. We think it was something mechanical. The cost of hiring a forensic accident engineer is really expensive so we might not ever know what caused it. They get about $300/hour including drive time. I want that job.

Steve's wife is battling cancer right now so that doesn't help with anything. The stress level at their house is unlike anything most people have ever gone through.

Steve is not asking for help but knowing what they are up against and that sometimes you just can't do it alone I am asking for your support.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me,
Thanks,
Fred Mathews (Steve's brother)
