Help Me Recover After Surgery

Hello, my name is Josh. Im starting this GoFundMe to help me get things back to normal following two surgeries. Almost a month ago now, I slipped in my kitchen and hit my eye on the back of a chair as I fell. The impact caused an orbital floor blowout fracture and severely impacted my vision. After the injury, I went into surgery to have a titanium mesh installed to repair my eye socket and hopefully start the process of restoring my vision to normal. Unfortunately,  the muscles under my eye began to get snagged in the mesh as I healed which made it extremely painful to move my eyes even for short periods of time rendering me functionally blind for most of the recovery process. A second surgery was required to untangle the muscles and replace the mesh with a plate which has extended my recovery. As my job is entirely computer-based, I have been unable to work this entire time. I have been unable to drive even when i became able to open and move both eyes as my vision is still distorted. Most importantly to me, I have also been unable to watch my daughter on my own due to not being able to see and, more often than not, being physically unable to keep up with her for very long. I hope to go back to work as soon as possible (these past several weeks of pain, nausea, exhaustion, insomnia, and loss of eyesight have been anything but a vacation) and I hope more than anything to be able to (figuratively and literally) see my daughter regularly. Her mother has been immensely helpful throughout this ordeal, keeping our little girl for the majority of my recovery, but I cant wait to be able to take care of her regularly like before all of this. I'm uninsured,  mostly due to the cost of insurance through my employer (To insure both myself and her would take a third of my check) and have so far been unsuccessful in seeking insurance through Healthcare.gov. I can handle the medical bills over time once I am back to work, but in the meantime,  I have used all of my savings to keep us afloat. Even if I go back to work Monday (which is the goal if my vision has improved enough to do so), it will be a few weeks before my next check. I don't enjoy asking for help (my wonderful girlfriend and others have gone above and beyond to keep me comforted and helped as much as possible) but what we need isnt something that I can ask of them as they, of course, have their own bills and lives to maintain. All we need is enough to pay the normal household expenses (rent, utilities, etc) until I start earning income again. If I can manage to get that accomplished, I can take care of things again when I can finally go back to work. I hate asking for help, especially money, but my family having a home and being taken care of is more important to me than anything.
