Air to Electric engine prototype
Ever since a child I have been fascinated with mechanical and electrical machines. With the current energy crisis and being an avid motorcyclist with a strong passion for safety, durability, power, and ease of continued maintenance. I wanted to design a new type of motor.
What I have come up with is a hybrid system where it converts a high pressure gas or liquid to electricity by taking advantage of angular momentum. The main part of the engine has a single moving part and is powered using highly compressed blasts of a liquid or gas on a pulsed sequence. Fluid flow is managed through microcontrolled high speed servo controlled valves. The stator is built using super compact, super dense electromagnetic coils that are made from solid copper sheets that are precisely cut into flat pancake coils, treated to insulate and then soldiered into series with steel washers separating each coil.
I would like to raise $10,000 to build the first prototype. It must be built from solid billet aluminum and be precisely machined using a high end CNC machine and laser cutter. I also have to purchase expensive, very high performance N54 neodymium magnets.
This is the main body of the engine showing the exterior off. Slanted holes around the edge are where the bearing magnets and stator pickup coils are placed. Along the outer walls are the inlet and exhaust ports.
This is a transparent view showing the interior of the motor. This is the only moving piece inside the motor. It is made up of 48 wedges that fit together and create a ring. There are two types of wedges; one holds 2 magnets each to act as a rotor magnet and to levitate magnetically as bearings. The second has a simple slice cut out of it to act as a pressure change chamber.

This is how i plan to build my electromagnetic stator coils. It is made up of a series of washers and and specially cut piece of copper plate forming a spiral shape.
