Hey everyone! I'm sure if you're visiting this page you have figured out I'm secretly helping someone out in a tough spot.
The gentleman in the photo to my left is known as Damien. He's been a hard worker and as independent as can be for many years. Especially in the 1 year and change I have known him personally. He's had his ups and downs but did his best to be by anyone's side. He's a man who enjoys learning and puts effort to be as strong as he could be and refuses to ask for help without something being given in return. He's been my partner in crime for many projects including costuming for other events as a passionate hobby. I respect the way he is but sometimes we need a helping hand and a simple 'thank you' won't just be through words. For every donation given, I will be reached with an e-mail and I will in return send a thank you but, send an e-mail to reach me so I may send every donor a watercolor painting of their choice. Depending the level of help it may even be as much of a thank you as shown below! Except the choice of glassware will be a surprise and you are allowed to choose your theme/subject of choice:

Details of what's wanted in the painting can be given through my e-mail I send in the thank you note and I will have the mailing address requested on here so I can ship your rewards. They may take some time but it's all I can offer, being low income myself but not in the same rut as Damien is, and will do anything in my power to extend gratitude.
Damien has been a great friend to me, from my worst of times to my best. He's been every type of supporting shoulder while even helping me with my nephews when I had to babysit, and he was visiting. Damien has gone as far as coming to my aid when I have been ill. He's even previously helped me with my studies when he was working, helped pay for textbooks I couldn't afford, and I paid my dues in return. Even in moments in which I needed new wardrobe, he's never asked for anything back with the exception that I appreciate what he did and learned to love and give myself a better outlook than self-negativity. He's naturally been a teacher. Recently, he's quit his job, resigning when they wouldn't respect his personal matters and not comprehend his stress and depression--going through burnout after extensive work hours to reach ends meet--and never being treated with the respect his co-workers were given. His bills have been piling up: having just signed up for the new healthcare in the US--after not having health insurance & check-ups in quite a few years with his health becoming complicated--and not being able to pay the premium, cell phone bill, and now rent. Despite sharing the costs with roommates he needs to pay his share and he's going to be behind one month's worth rent, two by this upcoming July 1st. I've been doing my best to make sure he has sustenance. I refuse to not put an effort despite having to do so secretly.
All I ask is for every and any kind of help within your power. And if unable to, it would be very kind if you could share this link. He's attempted to sell his own items through stores like ebay and storenvy, boosting them on tumblr and facebook, without much success. He's applied to many jobs but as anxiety creeps upon his stress and bouts of depression, time looks shorter for him. And in this economy it doesn't seem like many locations are looking to hire despite him living near the city area of New York. He will have a place to stay in the future but we need to raise enough so he leaves without worries and knowing he was able to pay most of these two months rent in order to leave a clean slate with his roommates and landlord who have been patient thus far. He's always been responsible and prompt and hates to be in this situation.
Please, this may seem like something small in comparison to others' situations but anything to help. Every donor gets a painting of their choice as a gratitude other than just 'thank you.' I believe in paying it forward and I've tried to live that way most of my life. Now it's your turn to do so and despite my small paintings not being enough of a form of gratitude, I hope something positive and amazing, comes your way. Thanks so much for lending an ear.
