Abbi The Blind Shelter Kitten

Donation protected
I saw Abbi (then Lucy) on Rescue Me Ohio. She was in a shelter, with a badly damaged and infected eye, and a less badly scarred other eye. She is blind, or nearly so, but she never lets it get slow her down!

She has been home with me for two weeks, and today had her worse eye surgically removed. She is on pain meds and will need a follow up to have the stitches out, but should be MUCH more comfortable.

I have been asked a lot about why the shelter did not treat her, and the simple answer is that they did. They gave her two rounds of antibiotics, spayed her, and then, at the limit of their funding, they offered her for adoption-as is. They did their best for her, and I am grateful that they were there to help her out.

I had enough credit available to get her the rest of the way treated, but the bill wasn't little. A lot of people has expressed an interest in helping out with her, so I am creating this page to give them a chance to do that. I don't like asking for something for nothing, so I have been making hand crocheted dog and cat collars.

Anyone who donates $5 or more who wants one, get in touch and I will make and mail you one with my gratitude. I also sell toys, mostly vintage, so you can also help her out by shopping in my store at rememberswhen.us

Thank you so much,
Kristy and Abbi Cadabbi
