Children of Madagascar

Dear Family and Friends,
As you all may know It has always been a dream of ours to volunteer with children in Africa. We've reached a point where we feel so grateful for every aspect of our lives and need to start giving back. We are extremely excited to volunteer in Madagascar this summer with the Charity Foundation Symboli.
Symboli means contribution in Greek and is a Charity Foudation founded in 2010 on the belief that education is the only way out of hunger and poverty. It is estimated that more than 60% of the children is illiterate because their families are unable to cover the school fees since even public education is not free. Every year, more than 1500 children attend school thanks to scholarships awarded by the Foundation. In addition, every summer, more than 250 children attend our summer camps in Madagascar and Uganda.
In almost a month, we will be joining the local team of volunteers in order to organise this year's summer camp in Madagascar! For a month , more than 150 children will be staying in a safe environment and take part in arts and craft , sports and lots of other fun activities! We will be providing 3 meals a day as well as medical and physical examination for all the children.
Our goal is to raise at least 1000€ to cover the expenses for the summer camp. We tried to make an indicative -although realistic- wish list just so you can understand that even the smallest contribution can put the biggest smile on these innocent faces!!
We really appreciate the time you have taken to read and if you have donated thank you so much, it means a great deal to us and gives us courage to continue!
PS... We have personally funded our own flight, travel, immunizations, anti-malaria medication, anything related to this mission, so ALL the money you donate will go towards our cause!
