A pool for Aubrey

Donation protected

This sweet girl’s name is Aubrey and she has been beating the odds, living each day with Cornelia de Lange syndrome.

Recently Aubrey’s parents took her to a fall fest with her little sister to enjoy the day and be a kid when another child came up to the family and began making terrible remarks about Aubrey.

He said, “What is that?”

When Aubrey’s mother took it as curiosity, she replied, “She’s a girl.”

The boy replied, “No, she looks weird! “She looks like an alien!”

The boy would not let up on his comments and continued to follow the family around, so Aubrey’s parents took she and her little sister away in tears, not understanding why they had to leave.

Aubrey’s mom is now making a plea to the community to please talk to your kids about children with disabilities.

We at Sweet Buffalo reached out to mom to see if there’s anything we could do to bring a smile to Aubrey’s face and her mother said they have been saving for a special pool for her to enjoy in the summer. If you’d like to make a donation we will be giving it to Aubrey’s mom so they can get even closer to getting her a pool that she can enjoy without a care in the world.

Our goal is to help raise all or some of the funds needed to build an inground pool for Aubrey which she needs due to her medical condition. There needs to be a shallow end, and salt water because her skin is so sensitive and the chemicals are pretty harsh for her. It also includes a heater – that way she can enjoy it longer and will help with Aubrey's body temperature control issues.
