Wheels for Wounded warriors
This is a wheelchair that helps our soldiers and veterans go wherever they want to go. I learned of it from my sister , who was a past president of the American Legion Women's Auxilary , in Missouri. And it was also on Bill O'riely's show on fox news.
There is a place in Missouri called Camp Hope, which helps our veterans to get back outdoors. Sometimes this wheelchair is the only way our vets have to do that.
I want to give back somehow that can make a true difference to them, and I thought this would be a great start. I haven't been to the Camp Hope, but I plan to hopefully be able to go there and hand them a check to go towards a purchase of one of these wheelchairs.
The total cost of a wheelchair is $17,000 - $20,000, depending on accessories to the chair. I don't expect to raise that much , but what a wonderful contribution and life changer it would be to get even a 1/3 of the money. That's why the goal is where it is,but if there is more, than that will be even better. Thanks if you have donated, you've made a difference, and if you haven't or don't its ok too, I appreciate any , and thank a vet next time you see one for their service ! Sometimes that's all it takes to see them smile .
