RHODE to Disney

The West Elmwood Intruders is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), youth sports organization serving the West Elmwood neighborhood for 40 years as an athletic outlet. Our goal is to encourage and promote sportsmanship as well as provide social activities for boys and girls between the ages of six and fourteen. Each year between 150 -200 area boys and girls yearly participate with an all-volunteer, safety trained staff. We provide sports opportunities to many low income and single parent homes that would not otherwise have access to play an organized sport. 

This year, all 3 eligible cheer divisions have won state and regional competitions and have advanced to national competition in Disney, Florida!! The girls and their coaches have worked tirelessly since August to achieve this accomplishment. It costs $750 per child to travel and accommodate each child, with 33 girls (all 3 divisions total), it costs $24,750.  The team and their families have either fundraised and/or paid $18,750 thus far. We are just $6000.00 short of achieving our goal! Please help us out travel to Disney to compete in National Competition representing the State of Rhode Island. Deadline to receive this money is December 2nd, 2014. Any donation you can make will be sincerely appreciated.
