Wes and Kim - Adoption Fundraiser

Gus Fundraiser- Our dream of becoming parents has not come the way we planned- but we know in our hearts that this is the journey God had planned for us. We always knew we wanted children and couldn't wait to become parents. I have known many years that it would be a little harder than most to get pregnant, but never knew it was going to be this bumpy of a road.

As many know, we have been battling infertility for past 3 1/2 years and have exhausted every treatment plan. So after many sad heartbreaking visits to doctors and many tests and fertility treatments, the time has come to choose a different path.
We are on a new journey now to complete our family. We have talked many hours about adoption, listened to friends and all our new friends that have been down this journey, and we know this is for us. All Wes and I have ever wanted is to have children and even though they won't be our flesh and blood, they will be our children. We can't wait to be called mommy and daddy. We know that day will be one of the best days in our lives.

With the decision of adopting also come many other challenges. Adoption is expensive and our cost will be between $30,000 - $45,000, but it will be worth every single penny. Some examples of our costs are:
Home Study $1,000
Video Profile $1,700
Birth mom and agency expenses $25,000-$35,000
Travel expenses $5,000

They say it takes a village to help raise a child. As much as we struggled to ask for help, here we are. There are several ways you can help us. First we ask for prayers as we walk through our journey. We realize that not everyone is able to help financially, or you may not feel ok with this. That is perfectly fine, we ask more than anything for prayers and kind words.

We have decided on a puzzle fundraiser. We chose a puzzle with a lot of meaning to us. It is a butterfly picture and we will be hanging it in our baby's room. To us a butterfly represents the child growing in the womb of his/her birth mother, then as the wings open up he/she is becoming our child. If you would like to purchase a puzzle piece for $10 to help us down our journey, we will write your name on the back of a puzzle piece. When our puzzle is complete we will frame it so we can share your part of our family with our child.
