Local Mclaren Flint Registered Nurse could use your help.
It is said if you save one life you are considered a hero, save a hundred lives you’re a nurse. Well, some might believe our co-worker Tonia Cole just might be both.
Recently, one of our own Local 875 Mclaren Flint ICU Registered Nurses, Jeff Benaway, had been forced into medical disability retirement due to kidney failure.
Tonia Cole, Jeff’s co-worker of several years and also Mclaren Flint Local 875 registered nurse, was tested and found to be a perfect donor match. She has decided to give an ultimate gift and sacrifice, one of her kidneys. This selfless act that Tonia is undertaking does not take place without additional sacrifices from her and her family, let alone the lost wages and time off without pay.
We would like to encourage and solicit your help to reduce some of the burden for Tonia and her family. We are asking for donations, a few dollars here or there, or any other suggestions we can assist in this would be greatly, I say greatly appreciated.
