Our friends, Tom and Tara Easton, suffered a tragic loss on Saturday, January 10, 2015 when their family home was lost to a fire. The fire fighters of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department bravely battled the fire in the brutal extreme cold, but were unable to save the family home of several generations of Eastons. Even more sadly, several family pets were lost in the fire, only their beloved dog Mater surviving.
Tom and Tara have lost everything, and while insurance will eventually cover much of the cost of rebuilding, there is so much more that won't or can't be replaced. Tom, Tara, and Mater are beginning the painful and overwhelming tasks of rebuilding their lives with the help of family and friends. Many have asked how they can help. Please consider donating funds to help them rebuild their lives. Additionally, Tom has requested assistance with construction materials such as plywood, drywall, and electrical wiring.
