Help us build up our farm so we can train therapy llamas!
We've already purchased the land, but we need fencing for our future llama herd and a place for us people to live in! With $10k we could build the cabin we need and enough fencing for the 28 acres that we had to spend ALL our savings on to get.
What is a therapy llama, you may ask? Llamas are very smart, trainable, and FLUFFY! We train our llamas to tolerate ANYTHING and they work with children with special needs, the elderly, and other groups. People love seeing our llamas up close, hand feeding them, and giving them hugs and kisses. We had a therapy llama, Lucy (the llama in the campaign picture), but she sadly passed away of old age in 2014. With our own farm and setup, we can spend all week training and working with our llamas, not just weekends!
Our therapy llamas will be chosen from llamas rescued around our area. We want to take in unwanted llamas and make them useful again! Oklahoma badly needs a llama rescue. There are many llamas given away, sold at auction for next to nothing, sent to slaughter, abused, or neglected. We want to help these poor llamas prosper again. Help us help them!
