--------------------------
Wilshire Productions will be producing an 8-episode documentary-style series centered on the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The series tells the stories of 8 underdog Olympic athletes that possess the mental strength, heart, passion, and tenacity of a great competitor and has defied all odds to make it to the summer games.

Why this project: The show aims to highlight the motivation and drive each competitor(s) made to follow their dreams leading up to game day despite what costs or obstacles that may have blocked their path. The show intends to encourage our audience to raise the bar for themselves and foster personal growth as they find that perfect balance between health, fitness, body, mind and occupational goals. The goal of this series is to empower others to pursue their best life – their best version of themselves.

We aim to capture each athlete’s unique story and show how their culture and up bringing is a precursor for who they are today. Our audience will gain an up close and personal look of not only the people, places and things that have helped to shape the character of each athlete, but will also illustrate the path that has lead them to where they are today in their professional athletic career.

We will also show the behind the scenes action of the hard working staff, the 50,000 volunteers who flew from all over the world to help with the summer games, and the many mentors, coaches and contributors who are involved in organizing the 2016.

There's more inspiring stories my team and I want to unfold for you. And if you believe in this project, then your support will help us package together a visual that will make this docu-series memorable for years to come.

Where will it air?
The original series will live on The New Music Buzz Website and Youtube Page and AINU TVs newly launched VOD Platform.
The first air date will be 1 week after the Olympics games (August 21st).

Who is the creator?
My name is Shantal and I'm a Television and Video Producer who was born and raised in Southern California. Check out my team that's helping me put all of this together.

I have had the amazing opportunity to work on some of the biggest televised events in the nation, which have been broadcast all over the world, and am so grateful and humble to have met some amazing people throughout my journey.

Why is this personal for you?

This year Olympics motto is "LIVE YOUR PASSION"

32 years ago, my mother emigrated from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States of America to pursue the American Dream. One of her first jobs when coming to this country was working the Olympics in 1984. She always talks about how many people she met, the experiences she made working her first American job, meeting people from over 30 plus countries and collecting her Olympic memorabilia
Pins, (which sadly, have been lost since 1984).

I have always wanted to continue her legacy in the family and become a part of the Olympics. Using what I know and working my talent the best way I know how, I thought it would be important to capture the lives of the unsung heroes that make the Olympics what they are.   From high school to college, I was always taught the importance of diversity and to acknowledge and accept the difference in people and to look at their weaknesses as strengths that haven't been tapped into yet. I think that's something that sometimes gets forgotten in today's media.

An Olympian to me is not just a competitive athlete, but someone who possesses the mental strength, heart, passion, and tenacity of a great competitor. Getting a Medal is a great achievement, but knowing you tried your hardest will last for a lifetime.

So please support me and my crew of 6 people as we capture the lives of these Olympians in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

Help us get the word out and reach our goal of $30,000 in 30 days! Here's a visual of our budget and where your money will be going.

We will be extremely thankful. Also please leave comments on the athletes you will be looking out for this year. Don't forget to include the Para Olympic Athletes too!
