The Fido Fund is here to help low-income individuals with pet food, vaccinations, spay and neuter.
There are hundreds of pets that go without proper veterinary care. Our goal is to make sure pets in our local community are properly cared for, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, licensed and fed.
My name is Clare DeHaan and I am Founder of FurEver Fosters Animal Rescue. I am dilligent on vaccinating all dogs that cross my path and educating the people in my community on the importance of vaccinations for their fur-kids.
This month FurEver Fosters had 2 puppies come to us with Parvo. One is in the hospital struggling and fighting for her life as I type this message. A $6 vaccination could have prevented this but now it is going to cost our rescue $500 to help her try and beat this ugly disease with no promises it will work.
It is my goal to make sure all puppies, dogs, cats and kittens are vaccinated...on little furball at a time! My goal is to help educate the public on the importance of vaccinations and teach them how to properly vaccinate at home.
It is ALWAYS best to have your pet checked and vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian, but I realize not all people who are pet owners can afford to do that. That does not mean they are not good pet owners or that they should not own a pet! But it also is not an excuse to leave their pet unvaccinated and susceptible to deadly viruses.
The Fido Fund is here to help them whether it be with vaccinations, spay/neuter or pet food!
