London to Amsterdam Bike Ride

Donation protected
In April 2019,  a bunch of us are cycling the 160 miles from London to Amsterdam to raise funds for Georgy and his fight against the rare bone cancer Ewing sarcoma.

Some of us aren't built for lycra but that's not the point - No child should have to suffer cancer so we're support Georgy and his family at this tough time.

Since Georgy’s diagnosis in April 2018 he’s undergone a gruelling schedule of chemo and radiotherapy, and in December he underwent surgery to replace his humerus (the bone between his shoulder and elbow) and elbow with titanium alternatives. Chemo is ongoing and Georgy will have to endure repeated complex surgical procedures to his arm as he grows.

Georgy has had an incredibly tough year and still has difficult times ahead but thanks to his natural positivity and courage and the support of friends, family and the local community, Georgy is still smiling.

Fundraising events like this one have helped ease the financial strain on Georgy’s parents as they care for him and his siblings. This support has also provided Georgy with some memorable treats which have greatly boosted his spirits and given him and his family some precious and much-needed happy moments, helping to counter the huge strain that is the reality of a family life that incorporates childhood cancer.

Helen and Richard, Georgy’s parents, and their family, thank you so much for your generosity and support. Our gratitude for the love and support Georgy has received cannot be measured.
