Sophie needed our help....

Sophie needed our help... and now we need yours.

Sophie came to us as a stray on April 1st, 2015. The Dog Warden responded to a call reporting a stray dog in the area. He arrived on scene to find Sophie, who had an obvious fractured back leg. We immediately had our vet staff assess her and found that not only was her right rear leg fractured, but her right front leg was also completely fractured. She is only 5 months old. We gave her pain medication and monitored her while we hoped an owner would step forward. No one did. We transported her to an orthopedic specialist where we found out that she needed extensive surgery on both of her legs. The surgery took place on April 7th, 2015 and she is resting comfortably in a foster home while she recovers. The cost of this surgery was extremely expensive, but we didn't want to turn our backs on sweet Sophie. Throughout this entire ordeal, she greeted every person she came across with a tail wag.
