Salaam Alaikum, my name is Shokat Ali. I have been diagnosed with a type of cancer called Monophasic Synovial Sarcoma in the chest wall which is an extremely rare condition.
As of 2nd June 2015, my condition has now been put down as Terminal. I have been told I have got only months to live as the tumours will get larger and eventually be fatal.
After having a major operation and radiotherapy I have practically lived in the hospitals over the last 3 years. My tumour is now back and growing very aggressively along with several other tumours in my chest. The pain is unbelievable and I would never wish this upon anyone. My breathing is getting harder and my condition is getting worse day by day. I have lost over 20kg in less than 6 months and it is still going down.
I have not got very long and at this stage I have very limited options. I want to seek treatment in the US, this is my last hope, however I am unable to do this due to financial difficulty as I have not been able to work since my illness. It is a long and lonely road.
There are no guarantees in life apart from death. Seeking treatment in the US is my last hope. If I get worse while I am there and nothing works then I will have to come back early as I would want to spend what time i have remaining with my family and friends. Time is precious.
I am fighting my illness and I will continue to fight it until I beat it InShaaAllaah. Can you please help me to make this possible? Any contributions to help me on this journey are welcome
