Shianne's Journey with Osteosarcoma

Please help support Shianne on her journey with Osteosarcoma.
Earlier this year Shianne was having hip pain and trouble walking. After a CT and MRI scan mid-April, the Doctors found a large tumor and a bone lesion on the left side of her hip. With Blood work coming back irregular, the doctor had her admitted to a Children’s hospital in Dallas, TX ASAP. She then received 1 unit of blood, due to her hemoglobin being low, followed by a biopsy on both the tumor and lesion, another MRI, a P.E.T. scan, and more blood work.
May 1, 2015 the results came back that Shianne had Osteosarcoma, a form of Bone Cancer, but luckily it is localized and has not spread.
They have put in a port so she can start receiving Chemo. She will have 12 weeks of Chemo, followed by a surgery to remove the tumor, then another 6 months of Chemo.
Shianne is 13 years old and attends Valley View ISD. Shianne has 2 younger siblings who will be staying with friends and family during this time. Her mother, Leanne, will be missing a lot of work to care for Shianne and keeping up with the other 2 children. Her father, Shiloh, lives out of state and works OTR. Shianne’s mother and father both served in the United States Army for more than 10 years and her step mother is currently still serving.
