Savor the Flavor Food Trailer

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our story!
We are Steven and Brittany of Shave 'N Flav. Our story began back in 2005 at the Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy. Steven, 23, was attending the College program and Brittany, 17, was attending the High School program. Every so often our classes would overlap by a couple of minutes, just long enough to catch eyes and smile at each other before Chef Ricommini shooed us upon our seperate ways. But the undenaible spark between us couldn't be ignored. I just couldn't get Steven in his chef hat out of my mind! Coincidentally our class overlap seemed to get a little bit longer ;) Steven wrote down his number on a little piece of paper (that I still have) and said to give him a call, so of course I did. Underneath the stary night sky, he asked me to be his girl. We never could have imagined this crazy adventure that has since unfolded for the past 10 years.

Steven started shaving ice in 2002 with his father at various venues. In 2006 we took over completely and made a few adjustments. What started out as a side gig and a way to help raise money for our local youth programs, has now turned into a full time, locally family owned and operated business.

We are a small family with two daughters, Sydney 10 and Serenity 3 years of age, and are trying our best to become more established and involved in our community.

In 2007 Steven graduated from the Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy. He has a passion for food that shows through in everything that he cooks. 

We successfully completed our 10th season with the Paso Robles Youth Football and Cheer and our 3rd season with the Paso Robles Girls Softball League where we not only shave ice, but are the full time concessionaires! Shave 'N Flav even served up delicious shave ice for the Paso Robles Concerts in the Park Summer series!

Over the years we have met so many amazing people and worked hand in hand with countless businesses, organizations, associations, as well as individuals. Shave 'N Flav is proud partners, members, and sponsors of: Paso Robles Youth Football and Cheer, Paso Robles Cinco de Mayo Scholarship Committee, Paso Robles Girls Softball League, Paso Robles Youth Soccer League, Atascadero Girls Softball League, Morro Bay Youth Football and Cheer, City of Paso Robles REC department, Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association, The Ranch, La Quinta Inn, Mondo Cellars, Rio Seco Winery, Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, Artistry in Motion, Paso Robles Bearcat Boosters, Atascadero High School Boosters, Wine Country RV Resort, Santa Margarita Tavern, and Paso Robles Hwy 46E Wineries. Together we have raised thousands of dollars for Youth Programs and various organizations in our community!

Shave 'N Flav was named business of the month by the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce for the month of October 2015, won 1st Place for most delicous taco in Atascadero's Taco Day on Traffic Way in November 2015, took home 1st Place  for Atascadero's Tamale Festival in January 2016, and is 5 Star rated across the board with numerous repeat clients! 

The money will be used to take Shave 'N Flav to the next level!! For the past 10 years we have been forced to do the tedious task of setting up e-z up's, risers, walls, bins, tables, etc. for hours and breaking it all back down and packing it all back  up again. It takes even longer than you might imagine. 100% of the money raised will be put towards purchasing a fully enclosed mobile food trailer!!!  With a trailer the possibilities are endless for us and we may even be able to get a few hours of sleep before an event, so the sooner the better! LOL ;)

This means so much to us because you are helping to make our dreams into a reality. We don't live lavishly. We don't care about brand names. We don't need to be millionaires. We don't need the nicest car in town. But we would like to live a modest and comfortable life, have money to pay our bills, and maybe even get to take our children on a little vacation and stay over night in a hotel without being filled with worry and anxiety about making sure our ends will still meet.
