Multiple Sclerosis the silent killer. Hello everyone I have a friend named Kenya Henderson and she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in late 2007. On September 11,2007 on her way home from work, she was involved in a car accident where she was rear-ended. After going to the hospital and being released she received a telephone call informing her she had MS. That was the call that would change her life forever. Prior to the accident she was a working single mother, who provided for her 5 girls( yes 6 females in one house). Kenya is a selfless person, she was a block captain and also a mother to kids who didn't have that great figure at home. Kenya always had an open door policy. Meaning if you was hungry she would feed you, needed clothes she would clothe you, needed a place to stay the couch was available. she had been involved in an abusive relationship that turned into an abusivse marriage for 16 years. And was on the verge of getting her life back on track. At the time of the accident she was 35 years old. To add salt to the wound in January 2008 she found out she had 2 benign tumors on the left side of her brain. Now fast forward to 2014. After being a selfless, outgoing, energetic, and caring. Now Kenya is in the fight of her life. Kenya was into healthcare since she was a teenager. A CNA when she was done college, and always took care of others. Now she is the one who needs help. Her MS is taking its toll.  Due to her illness she is now unable to work, and her MS is now makes it hard for her to walk. She has trouble getting around the house. She has been prescribed a rollator(a walker on wheels). Her medical bills are starting to accumulate as of now her medicine Avonex ! Now her landlord is putting her house on a subsided program which she isn't elgible for, and now needs to move. I feel her next home needs to be a one level house to make getting around a little easier for her. She also has 2 grandkids who she adores with all her heart. And she still has 2 teenage daughters at home. she is a very proud woman and i believe she should be able to enjoy herself and the children. Not be overly stressed about her illness and bills. I call MS the silent killer but it's also the painful killer. There is no cure for MS so it's just a matter of time. She attends church regularly and tries to stay upbeat but this is a fight you already know the outcome.I'm just trying to help a wonderful woman. Her family was helping but now I believe that they are just as overwhelmed. Their is so much more about this angle but i just tried to some it up!
