I have started this Go Fund Me page to help a wonderful, caring man that I call dad. His name is Rodney Yemm. On July 14th a nightmare happened, his house caught on fire. This is not just a house. This is the house he grew up in,a house his parents always called home, a house where the family would fill on holidays with love and laughter making amazing memories, a house where my sister and I would go spend weekends with our grandparents.
This house is all he has left of his parents. Rodney is such a big hearted person he would give his last dollar to help all he can. Prior to this tragedy we have been battling his insurance company. They screwed up and canceled his homeowners insurance. The house has been insured with this same company for 50 years with no problems until now. He is now left in a house that is damaged from the fire. He has no power and no gas. The only utility that was able to remain on was the water. We were able to get him a generator so at least he can some what battle the Arizona heat with a little window air conditioner. His grandson everyday goes over to his house to bring him gas and food.
With my fathers medical conditions that consist of diabetes, a shunt in his head, and stints in his heart this is unhealthy for him. He makes just enough with his Social Security to pay the bills. We are asking for help to try and fix his house. My sister is doing all she can to get his truck fixed so he can have his own transportation and sending what she can so he can eat, get his meds, and keep gas in his generator. This is killing us knowing how our father is living. No person should ever have to live like this. If we can raise enough to help our father we promise to pay forward the generosity. Please if you can find it in your heart to help, we will forever carry you in our hearts. Anything can help.
