Fenton "Andy" Hollingsworth left this world on December 3, 2009, 11 months and 2 weeks after our wedding. He was 27 years old. For the past 4 years I have tried to raise money through Benefit Concerts to form 2 scholarships in his name. The first is an annual scholarship at Palm Beach State College - where we work(ed), met and fell in love. The second is his alma mater, Florida Atlantic University, where I am working towards endowing a scholarship to live on for years to come.
It has always been my desire to make sure he is never forgotten. Certainly anyone who knew him could never forget him and the impact he made on all of our lives. But what about those who would never have the privilege? Through these scholarships, students pursuing the same interests he enjoyed and studied have learned about this great man, my late husband. I want desperately to continue that, but cannot do so on my own.
To contribute directly to PBSC and FAU, contact their Foundation department and ask for the _Fenton "Andy" Hollingsworth Memorial Scholarship Fund_ and put that information in the 'memo' line of your donation check. All the money collected here will go to FAU and PBSC until the scholarship contracts are fulfilled and the FAU scholarship is endowed. We're so close, but I can't do it with out you. Help me carry Andy's legacy for generations to come!
