Please help Rachael to achieve a long held dream to own her own car!
Rachael is a 27 year old lady living in Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Rachael is well known in her circle of friends and local community as a most kind and caring person, well loved for her ability to make people smile and highly valued as a friend to those in need of a listening ear.
Rachael is a very social person who loves to be out and about, catching up with friends, meeting people and being involved in community life.
Rachael's dream has always been to own her own wheelchair car so she can get out and about more often, and have freedom to travel wherever she would like to go.
"Not having a car is a big barrier to what I want to achieve in my life... I love meeting people and helping people... I want to be out in the community connecting with people, trying new things and travelling to different places... I want to experience more in my life of this wonderful world...
Rachael will need a car that has a wheelchair ramp, or can be modified with a ramp or hoist. The vehicles that allow for this are specific and costly, with Rachael needing to spend $40,000 for a car to suit her needs.
