My name is Sterling Booker and I graduated from Hercules High in Hercules, Ca. I am currently in my second semester of my freshman year at the University of Nevada Las Vegas . 
In high school, after basically being forced by my mother, Pamela, to take a summer architecture studio in San Francisco, I surprisingly fell in love with architecture. The SFNOMA Project Pipeline Architecture Camp opened up a new career path for me. I decided to make architecture my major. I’m excited for this semester because I am taking my first actual architecture class! My challenge right now is meeting my tuition requirements. I have had trouble securing student loans and my mom is struggling to keep up with the expense of out of state tuition. If I can get through this financial crisis, I have plans to work over the summer to save money, try to secure student loans and seek additional scholarships ( I found this cool app called Scholly that looks promising for my research). But, the financial need is right now and is impossible for me and my mother to handle alone which is why I started this campaign. I am asking for your help to meet my spring 2015 semester tuition. I have had many great experiences by living on my own, and just being in college
