The RKFoundation was founded in January 2016 by Dr. Angela Miles-Daniels & her husband Mr. Herman Daniels.
The RKFoundation was named after the Daniels' family oldest son Randy & little brother Kadin. Randy was diagnosed with a mental illness at an early age & Kadin was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at 15 months.
The foundation was created to help bring awareness to individuals & families who may have a child or children diagnosed with ASD or mental illness. This foundation will provide information to families about services, schools, IEP's, scholarships, etc. to families who may have a child or children diagnosed with ASD or mental illness.
The RKFoundation is currently self funded & this fundraiser will help provide 2 scholarships to 2 children (1 diagnosed with ASD & 1 diagnosed with a mental illness) to assist with the cost of attending college or a post secondary school in the fall of 2016.
The winners of the scholarships will be announced at the 1st annual RKFoundation gala in June 2016.
