QU Service Trip to Dominican Republic

Twenty Quinnipiac University students will be traveling to the Dominican Republic to help those who need it the most. These university students will be helping the poorest of the poor, the people who live in the sugarcane village known as Batey 50. When visiting the village, it's as though you are in a place and with the people the world has forgotten. Our mission is to make a difference and help relieve their daily struggle. We will be distributing food and clothing to the people of Batey 50, in order to make their lives the slightest bit easier. We will document our experiences so that other people can get a sense of how different the world is and how fortunate many American families are. Most of all we will be providing hope.
