I am excited to be opening a brand new classroom, located in the south side of Chicago, where our goal is to bridge the achievement gap of underserved children.
In the Pre-K classroom, we will be working diligently on social and emotional skills, as well as the basics of reading, writing, and math that the children will need as they continue their academic journey.
As I begin my 6th year in a Pre-K classroom, I am well aware how important this year is to future scholars. I am honored to teach this age group...plus I love every minute of it! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing these children blossom in the classroom.
Because this is a new program in the Chicago Public School system, it relies on people like you to help provide the best materials possible, such as paper and markers, cooking ingredients and new toys, books, and games.
With your help, I will be able to purchase school suplies for my 20 students (97.9% of the students ot
the school come from low income familieItems like binders, journals, markers, glue sticks, scissors, and pencils will be waiting for each child on the first day of school!
