To everyone who may not yet have heard the news, our loved one, father, grandfather, father-in-law Michael F. Gehrls passed away Tuesday August 7, 2018 unexpectedly in his home.
Cremation has been planned and a memorial service is in the works to gather those who cared about him to share memories with his family.
As you are all aware, Mike and Christine have been together for 42 years and have had their ups and downs. They have 2 children Mike and Sherry who have given them 4 grandchildren (Jessica Best, Justin Best, Haydn Gehrls and Zackary Gehrls). What has happened is beyond comprehension and we are struggling to cope and are trying to figure out expenses and what will happen next.
We have already had numerous emails, texts and messages from people asking how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left. We are asking that in lieu of flowers being sent to our home, that everyone who is able to willing make a donation here to help with our unexpected expenses.

A memorial potluck is being planned for Thursday August 16, 2018 at the Lake County Fairgrounds from 5pm to 8pm.
