McKay High School is the last 6A school in this District to not have a turf field. Please help update our facilities and allow this area to offer more activities for our students. Upgrading the field will allow more uses to athletics as well as our marching band and community groups
Do you ever wonder where the money comes from that fund the various school programs that our neighborhood youth are participating in? Most of it doesn't come from the school district or from city funds. It comes from organizations like ours, parents, businesses and community members. Every school year we will use money to pay for a wide variety of items to assist Soccer, Basketball, Football, Cross Country, Bowling, Volleyball, and more. We will update facilities including a turf field, baseball and softball facilities, purchase goal nets, balls, uniforms, jerseys, storage carts and a mat room as well as assist with team camps.
This year we are working to fund a synthetic community turf field. Our goal is to cut the ribbon for this new field at our Green and Gold Day event on Saturday, August 19, 2017. This project will cost approximately $900,000 dollars. We have hit the streets and spoke to many folks, maybe you, but we have a large gap of funds we still need to fill in order to complete this project.
So how do we get the funds we use? That's easy - through the financial support of people like you. As a community member, we know you support keeping our youth active. Would you help us further our efforts with a tax deductible donation of $100 or more?
