Make Me Fly At Prom, Ari!

What up folks! My name is Ari Fitz and I’d like to try something.
See, I hated my prom. Many of us did. I didn’t like mine because of the way I looked. I felt hella silly. I'm an androgynous person and I didn't know that in high school. Instead, I wore a dress that didn’t fit who I was or wanted to be. I know it’s just clothes, but clothes can change how you experience a moment and I’ll never forget how off I felt that night.
So now I'd like to change that for SIX teens.
This GoFundMe is to fulfill six individual's prom dreams by giving them an outfit that perfectly communicates their identity today. I currently do not know who those teens are as I'm searching for those teens now using this Google form , and will announce the recipients early April.
Why are you raising $3,000 specifically?
- $1,800 for the prom outfits ($300 / teen)
- $600 for tailoring services (the fits need to fit)
- $300 for packing / shipping the outfits
- $300 for miscellaneous (bruh there's always some small unexpected expense with these things)
On behalf of the young people this will support, I'd like to say thank you for even considering supporting this project. You're going to give them a day they'll never forget (and have positive memories about it unlike mine).
What happens after the money is raised?
Every selected teen will outline exactly what they're looking for in an outfit using the Google Form. I'll personally purchase those items, pack them and ship them well before their big day. I'll also work hard to find a tailor in their neighborhood that can help them alter their prom outfit to make it perfect.
I just need your help to make all of this possible.
Please note, I'll close the Google Form for submissions on April 5th and keep this campaign open until all of the packages have been sent out (~mid May).
