Meet the lovely couple, Wayne and Toni Moeller. They are remarkable members of our community, and both suffer from chronic pain, which has unfortunately led their family to great financial hardship and struggle.
Wayne had been a successful chef for many years, and oversaw the cafeteria at FLETC until they downsized a few years ago. Although Wayne suffers from severe scoliosis and a deteriorating spine, his reputation for being a hard worker is well known. Since discharged from the cafeteria, he has searched for a new job to fit his physical limitations, with no luck. His chronic pain has only made him increasingly unable to fully perform at a job over the years. Sadly, the burden of supporting the family now lies solely on Toni, Wayne's wife.
Toni is the office manager at Harley Davidson-Brunswick and organizes many community projects through Harley. She herself suffers from Hidradenitis Supportive (HS), which is a disabling inflammatory disease with no cure. To know her is to know that she always has a smile and an encouraging word for others, but that she is also always in great pain. Toni's health is very poor and it has been a daily struggle for her to even make it to work. But knowing the financial responsibility to provide for the family, she fights her daily battles and gets the job done. Her earnings, though, only put food on the table and barely keep bills paid. There just isn't enough to cover the mortgage at this point.
This is heartbreaking, especially if you know the Moellers. Wayne and Toni are loving parents to their two children, Josh and Danielle, and upstanding citizens who always seek ways to help others in the community. They have worked hard to provide for their family their whole lives, yet now, without immediate help, they will likely lose their home. So it's our turn to help them!
The funds raised during this campaign will help with living expenses, and hopefully cover some of the mortgage, too. Please consider joining us in making a difference in our community "“ one family at a time!
