Help us get to FTC World Champs!

Donation protected
The members of our community based robotics team participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition created by Dean Kamen (the inventor of the Segway). Each year students in grades 7-12 research, design, build, and program a robot to compete against other FTC robotics teams across the US and the world.

In addition to our work creating a unique, competitive robot, our team is also heavily involved with our community through outreach, education, and demonstrations at elementry schools, fairs, and museums. All team members recognize the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in education and are dedicated to inspiring others, especially younger kids, to pursue the fun and excitement they have enjoyed while on the Lazybotts robotics team.

The 2015-2016 season kicked off in early September, and this year has been especially difficult for us due to a major loss of funding from our school district last year due to budget cuts. Going forward, we will be funded through the generous donations from others in the FIRST community, family friends, and sponsorships which we are working hard to aquire. Your donation, big or small, will help our team to continue learning the skills we will need to help shape the future, and help us continue our community outreach efforts.

So far this season, our team has been very successful. We have delivered ove 2500 hours of community service, demonstrating robotics and the importance of STEM education to children across our community. We also traveled to Nebraska to compete in the 2016 Nebraska State FTC Championship. We were the winning alliance captian, won the first place Inspire award, and set the North FTC region high score at 372.

Our success at the Nebraska tournament earned our team a spot at the 2016 North Super Regional Tournament in Iowa March 16-19 2016. We finished 2nd out of 72 of the best FTC robotics teams in the North region, and set the tournament high score of 532. We were honored by the judges with first place Think award, and 2nd place Inspire.

Our performance at the North Super Regional tournament has advanced our team to the 2016 FTC World Championship tournament in St. Louis MO at the end of April 2016. We are very excited to have been invited to this prestigious event, but have a lot of work ahead of us to raise the $3000 it will take to get us there.

All donors to our team will have their name added to the sponsors list on the side of our robot, and we will send you a picture of our robot on the field at the world championship tournamet, showing your name!

We thank you for your time and consideration, and hope you choose to support our team with a donation.

Thank you!
