Kobin's Birthday Wish

Kobin is a sweet 6 year old little boy who was born with bilateral Club Feet and over the years he has had multiple operations to help correct his feet. The latest surgery was on 7/29/14, during his stay at Dell Children's Hospital Kobin was visited by a therapy dog and a toy cart, and both of these helped his brief stay be not so hard.
The day before he went in for surgery we went through and collected all the stickers we had bought a few months back and decided to donate them to the hospital. Once settled in a lady came to drop off some toys for Kobin to play with and we handed over 15 packs of stickers, she was extremely grateful because they were running out. When she said that it seemed to really stick with Kobin.
Fast forward a week and I took Kobin to dinner which is also known as a "Hot Date" and we began talking about his birthday which is in October while deciding who all would come and what he wanted to do he stopped and started talking about his stay in the hospital. I asked him what he liked best about staying in the hospital and he said seeing the dog and then he gave me a look and he asked if I thought the kids like his stickers. I said of course they did and he got very excited. Kobin then said that he wished he could give more stickers and books to them. So we decided to start Kobin's Birthday Wish. We thought about the Band Aids because hospital stays aren't very fun and having an IV being taken out can be kind of scary to kids and I had noticed that the brown Band Aids was not a fun way to end a hospital stay, so we want to collect cool Band-Aids as well so he can help make the children smile even as they are leaving.
