Commonwealth Championships 2017

Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Your support would be hugely appreciated to help persue my dreams and represent my country in the amazing sport of Olympic Weightlifting.

I am currently the English Champion in the 48kg weight category.

I have been selected to represent England in Common Wealth Championships on the Gold Coast of Australia.
This competition takes place in September and will give myself the opportunity to compete in the Common Wealth Games 2018, which is a dream I have been perusing for the last 3 years.

My dream started when a GB Olympic weightlifting coach spotted my talent as I was trying out some Olympic weightlifting. I began to train for my first competition which I won!
My improvements have been quite rapid and in just 3 short years of training I am in 6th position on the Common Wealth rankings table.

Due to English Weightlifting funding being cut at the beginning of this year, they are unable to pay for all of our athletes to travel to the championships in September.
You will enable me compete in my first International competition.
It will not only be a great opportunity to compete at the same venue as the Common Wealth games, but vital experience for me mentally, which I would be thankful of your help.

I also wish to support the charity my sisters place and donate 20% of the money I raise to them.
