So many things had to happen for Christopher and I to reach the life we share today. One of the worst things we had to face was the fact that my on going health troubles could mean I would never be able to give us the joy of parenthood.

Against all odds in 2010 the most amazing thing happened to us, we found out that we were about to be parents. That was a wonderful surprise and a long struggle against health and heartache. Now it seems we will be doing this all over again... I am once again expecting and unfortunately this time there have been some serious and costly complications.





I am experiencing Pregnancy-Induced Acute Renal Failure, a condition normally caught early and treated with dialysis or even kidney transplant in serious cases. Most often this is done after terminating the pregnancy, but we are too far along to do so and as yet the baby is not suffering and has continued to progress along typical development. We are however going to have to prepare for a long NICU stay for the little one as well as my surgery or other care.

I currently work from home as a wedding and boudoir photographer and have decided that will be how I do my part to raise the funds for use to prepare for this reality. Because photography is a mobile business by nature, I am offering really discounted "reward" sittings for anyone that donates. Additionally, Diane Martell has offered to donate custom items from her small business doing renaissance clothing design. If you have ever wanted one those amazing corsets or hoop gowns I wear, this is your chance! I will even consider making something work if people want to pool their donations into a gift for somebody else; after all, paying it forward is a wonderful idea and I am all for that kind of thing!
