Knoxville Catholic High School has participated for the past several years in the FIRST Robotics Competition. This competition requires our team - the Robotichauns - to build and program a robot in certain skills, and then to compete against other schools.
Last year, the Robotichauns came in 4th place at the Smoky Mountains regional competition. This year's challenge will be tough: our robot must shoot frisbees into targets and climb towers, while defending ourselves against the competitors' robots. We plan to attend the Raleigh regional in North Carolina and the Smoky Mountains regional again, in Knoxville - all with making it to the nationals in mind!
BUT . . . we need your help! We are looking for each student to raise $500 to help with the costs of equipment, parts, team shirts, travel, and food. Any donation - even $5! - is welcome to help us achieve our goal . . . and help to build the future of science and robotics!
