Kaleidoscope Bicycle Expedition 2015 | #KBE2015

Kaleidoscope Las Cruces is a program that identifies needs in our community and finds ways to meet those needs. We believe in creating sustainable solutions that support the health, well-being and happiness of all people by creating spaces of respect and inclusion.

Our program was developed by First Christian Church in Las Cruces (FCC). In the past, FCC has fostered services for physically and mentally limited youth and developed alternative affordable housing for seniors, among other things. Continuing our long-held tradition of social justice advocacy and work in our community, Kaleidoscope Las Cruces is beginning our work by creating educational after-school activities with middle and high school youth.

This summer, Kaleidoscope will be embarking upon our first annual bicycle expedition. Kaleidoscope's Bicycle Expedition 2015 will depart on June 1st, and travel between Las Cruces, NM, and Yellowstone National Park (arriving around July15th). Along our route we will pedal over 1,200 miles, camp on public lands as much as possible, connect with pioneering non-profit and business leaders, and in so-doing spread solutions, build collaboration among western communities, and serve as ambassadors for sustainable Las Cruces non-profits and businesses.

Our cycling team will be Naoma Staley, Blake Stogner, and Shad Bostick.

During our expedition, we will be providing regular updates from the road via our Facebook, website and blog.
