Jennifer's Unexpected Illness

Donation protected
Jennifer Walters Mcleland is a 24 year old woman who traveled to Biloxi to meet her husband and brother for Spring Break. They had planned a week of fun and excitement but little did they know something tragic would happen. Jennifer became I'll with an infection in her leg. She was taken to Gulf Port Memorial Hopital where they determined she had gotten the Flesh Eating Disease from the Gulf. Wednesday morning on April 8, 2015 they amputated her left leg from her thigh down to save her life. We are not sure how long her stay will be. Jennifer is a West Monroe resident and does not have any medical insurance. She will be occurring medical expenses as well as expenses with having to stay out of town for numerous days. Jennifer is a cancer survivor of Leukemia. The doctors woke her up today to let her know that in order to save her life they had to amputate her leg. She wrote a note stating she wasn't ready to die. We believe with famity and friends by her side she will be able to accept things are changing for her.

I will update this weekend as we travel to Biloxi to visit Jennifer. Please pray for her and her family.

I have attached a picture of Jennifer and her brother John on the beach shortly before Jennifer became I'll.
