Help Honor My Dad’s Memory and Funeral

I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life. My father, Jaime Hinojosa passed away this past weekend, on Saturday, March 14, 2026. My heart is broken in unimaginable ways. He was not only my father, but my best friend. He was also a wonderful father to my brother, the best grandpa to my nephew, the youngest sibling to his brother and sister and the coolest Uncle. Our heart aches for him.

Jaime Hinojosa was the kind of person who was always smiling, who loved to laugh, and who could make anyone around him laugh with his goofy personality. He was truly a kid at heart, but also incredibly wise and caring. He brought so much light and joy to everyone who knew him. Even while facing serious illness and having very little, he always put others before himself.

If I had to describe my father, I would say he was like a bull. He was strong, had endless faith and was loyal to God until the very end. He battled (CHF) Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney Failure and endured dialysis treatments for a long time. Watching him go through those struggles was incredibly painful. He fought so hard to stay with us, but in the end, his body could no longer keep up with his strength and he had developed an autoimmune disorder called Bullous Pemphigoid.

After his passing, I learned that he did not have anything set aside for funeral expenses. He struggled financially after taking on serious health conditions and becoming blind. My family and I would love to honor him and fulfill his final wishes. He wanted a burial and a service where family, friends, and loved ones could come together. Family was the most important things in his life and always told everyone to "Love one another."

I have created this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of his burial and service with the family. If you are able to make a contribution, it would mean more than I can express. If not, simply sharing the link with others who can help would help tremendously.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. I know this is difficult news to receive, and I truly appreciate your kindness, support, and understanding during this time.

Thank you, and God bless.
Elizabeth Luna and the whole family.

I love you dad. We all love you.
