"It's Your Story" Book Project

There is very little or no support in the area of miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss; I know I have suffered through two miscarriages. I was empty, lost, confused, angry and frustrated. I had no one to talk to, and no one who understood what I was going through. The medical field is unconcerned and unsympathetic to grieving mothers. I was never pointed in a direction for help, and this is not a topic that you chat over coffee. My husband is a fantastic man but he could not comprehend or understand what I was going through emotionally. I was alone becoming depresed and blaming myself. Today I feel so blessed that I am 34 weeks pregnant with Izabella Joy! Even to this day; over one year later it has not changed the pain in my heart for the two that we lost. You would think she would be filling that void and replacing those babies but my heart still hurts. I dont want another woman to ever feel as alone or as empty as I did. 

Today we are launching a book project to break the silence and offer support to grieving mothers around the country. M6 Photography our company; will be traveling around upstate New York getting stories told by the mothers who have lost their children due to miscarriage, stillbirth and infant loss. We will put a face to the most intimate, heartfelt and emotional stories of hope, love and loss, stories like mine and maybe yours. The money raised will be to purchase 200 books, 100 of which will be distributed to doctors offices and and clincs the other 100 will be given to the partisipants, photographs for the families to keep, and money to donate to a local organization that is providing emotional support and resources to those that have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss and to raise awareness about pregnancy/infant loss in the Greater Rochester NY Area.
