Thanks for visiting.... our startup campaign has ended! Please head over to our Annual Fund Page at www.gofundme.com/InsightSTEM2016

Do you want to have an impact on the future of creative thought and critical thinking in our society? We invite you to become a part of a new legacy of impactful education and exploration in science, technology, engineering and mathematics!

Every day, we make fantastic leaps forward in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics – the fields that together we call STEM. We collect larger and larger hordes of scientific and technical data; we develop more sophisticated analysis techniques and novel technologies; and we gain new meanings and understandings from these amazing results. Yet, many people in the world are becoming more and more estranged and isolated from the wonders of exploring and engaging with these new and fascinating frontiers of knowledge.

Your contributions will engage you as a part of our essential mission to provide the inspiration and tools to all learners, instructors, and global citizens to become true knowledge explorers of the 21st Century.

Many young people struggle through monotonous memorization in our classrooms. Families are faced with increasing time pressures and stresses, drawing them away from any of their best intentions of learning together. Media rich technologies pump us full of information, but are increasingly just black boxes that we are afraid to tinker with. As adults, we lose the means or the aspirations to explore, understand, and immerse ourselves in new developments and discoveries.

Our team at InsightSTEM believes in democratizing STEM knowledge through interactive exploration. We develop and share novel low-cost, tinkerable, technologies; support families in learning science; and provide consultations, workshops, and experiences for educators and learners of all kinds who want to teach or absorb knowledge through exploration.

And, we already have growing presence and respect in the STEM education community. Thanks to our first donors we were able to hold five workshops that we were selected to present at the 2015 Convention of the National Science Teachers Association. We are also proud to be one of just seven organizations to receive a new pilot grant from the American Association for the Advancement of Science to develop reimagined Teacher-Scientist-Communicator partnerships to increase active knowledge exploration in American science classrooms. Our website will soon be up and running, and we encourage you to visit there to find out all of the latest news!

Your contributions to this campaign will allow you to become a part of building the strong foundations of our unique organization. Your support will be used towards building the infrastructure we need to support projects and programs that will have genuine influences on STEM education with global impacts. Your donations to our startup campaign will allow us to make more efficient use of our funds through seeking approval for 501(c)3 tax exempt status; will allow us to initiate our funding streams through grant proposals to NASA and the National Science Foundation; and will allow us to develop the online and offline infrastructure to deliver workshops, learning expeditions, and professional development for teachers, families, campus ambassadors, and our genius lab fellows.

Who are we? Our team is a dynamic group of individuals committed to the mission of InsightSTEM – true believers in gaining and sharing knowledge through exploration. Dr. Jake Noel-Storr, the president of InsightSTEM, holds a PhD in Astronomy and has over 15 years of STEM education experience, including being the Principal Investigator on over two million dollars’ worth of previous grant awards. He has served as the president of the Association for Astronomy Education; received awards for excellence in teaching from Columbia, the University of Arizona, and the Rochester Institute for Technology; is a past member of the American Astronomical Society's Education Board and American Association of Physics Teachers Astronomy and Space Science Committee; and been recognized by the US Congress for his contributions to STEM education.

Networking and collaboration are also essential for the success of our mission. To this end, we are even now building networks of the smartest STEM explorers, who are ready to take action now for the future of STEM knowledge: Our Genius Lab Fellows are selected for their drive and ambition to create the next-greatest means allowing the exploration of STEM knowledge. Our Insightful Teachers are inspiring educators who allow their students to learn by exploring knowledge, while have their own engaging adventures with knowledge. Our Campus Ambassadors are future STEM professionals studying at colleges and universities around the world, striving to drive the instinct for knowledge exploration and adventure into the future of their fields.

Will you be involved in this exciting future for science, technology, engineering and mathematics education? Act now to become a part of our exciting journey into knowledge exploration! Thank you for any support that you are able to offer as we endeavor to reimagine STEM education.
