My goal is to win the 2014 Sailing Canoe World Championship in San Francisco USA Sept 6th - 16th. With some support to get my boat there and back from Australia have won before I believe it's a realistic goal.
The International Canoe is the oldest dinghy class in the World dating back to the 1800's they held the title of the fastest single handed monohull dinghy in the World for over 100years. Their unusual appearance on the shore attracts on lookers and their performance on the water leave people in amazement.
2014 World Championship
I have been sailing canoes since I was 18, they are the most enjoyable boat I have ever sailed. There is no other boat that compares to the thrill of a sailing canoe. The ride while sitting out on the end of the sliding seat is jaw dropping. They cut though the water so smoothly and can out perform most 2 handed high performance boats. I have had great success sailing canoes winning the World title in 2008 and 9 Australian Championship titles. They have allowed me to travel the World competing once every 3 years. I believe in returning for what I have received, I have held the position of National measurer for over 10 years and also taken on the role of national president and assisted in organising the 2008 World Championship.

Your support will go towards the following costs. -Transport of my boat from Melbourne to San Francisco and return - New Sails for the championship - Airfares I have already paid a majority of these costs I need some help to get the last of the funds to get me over the line. My wife and I have already chipped in over $5000 and we will be putting more towards the campaign to get your support no matter how much goes a long way towards getting me racing at the World Championship.
