A loving, kind hearted, family is in need of some help and support. Karen Laake & Brian Birely not only lost their home, but the life of their precious little 11 year old boy Charlie Birely in a tragic accident on August 31st, 2015. This family lived on their 42-foot sailboat in Stuart, Fl, along with their two children Charlie and Abigail.
They are currently in the process of getting back on their feet, they found a beautiful Sailboat in Texas, that needs some work. Its a beautiful sailboat 1981 named ' Second Star' named by Charlies big sister Abigail, “Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning. ”- Peter Pan

They are currently trying to get their future home, from texas, fixed up and back to Stuart FL.
Anyone who know's this family will agree, they
are such amazing, positive & caring people. I got to know Karen very well as a employee at Stuart Coffee Co. Karen is the Art Manager and has alot of her art work at Stuart Coffee Company in Downtown Stuart.
They would be the first to help you in a time of need, whether they knew you or not. That's just who they are. They devoted their life to their daughter Abigail and autistic son Charlie. They are trying to move forward depite the constant stuggle of not only loseing their home, but the life of a very special, amazing little boy that was adored and loved by so many.
