Help Sydney attend Ringling for college!

My name is Sydney Going. I am a young and aspiring artist and illustrator local to the Tampa Bay area of Florida. My dream is to pursue an education doing what I have a passion for; creating and bringing to life a colorful cast of characters that spawn from my mind and illustrating the bizarre ideas and concepts I have on paper for all people to see.

I have attended arts school since my first year of elementary school, and have since then discovered my talent and passion for the arts, more specifically illustration and character design. When I graduated from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts in 2012, I knew was ready to take the steps to better myself artistically in the adult world. 






Now the year has come for me to further this artistic career endeavor. I have been graciously accepted to the Ringling College of Art and Design for the fall 2014 semester, with a major in illustration. The college has granted me a generous scholarship, but even with that I am still coming up a bit short. My family isn't dirt poor, but we aren't rich either. My parents (mainly my mother) and family have done wonders and have been incredibly supportive of my artistic career, but they can only do so much in the way of finances. Even with my scholarships, they barely managed to send me up to the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I studied for a year with the intention of pursuing the same major. Now we are having the same issue with Ringling. I have also chosen to live off campus, and its my first time on my own. I will need to cover basic living costs and expenses as well as my tuition.
