The gift of Color for Ken Ivory

My dearest friends,
If you know my husband, then you know that he is one of the most amazing human beings on the planet. He has dedicated his life to his family, and to sharing a vision with the world of the freedoms our God and our Founding Fathers intended us to enjoy.
Now, we want to give HIM the gift of vision that he's never had.
Ken is colorblind. We have laughed together at his exclamation that the inside of Kiwis are orange, that blue is pink and pink is blue, and I've said a thousand times how much I look forward to standing by his side in the next life and watching him as he sees color for the first time.
Well, it turns out, we don't have to wait until the "next life", as the company Valspar has invented glasses that allow those who are colorblind to see color for the first time.
April 12th is my birthday. On April 13th, I am having a surprise birthday party for myself. The real surprise is for Ken, and the party is for all, as I invite you to donate a few dollars to help make this dream a reality for Ken.
Your birthday present for me is to help us purchase these glasses for Ken. They are pricey, but if we all pitch in a little, we can get him a prescription pair of regular glasses, as well as prescription sunglasses that will allow him to see the world in a way that he has only been able to imagine.
I can think of no one who deserves this gift more than Ken. He has brought color and life to my world for more than 26 years and I can't wait to add the same to his.
You are invited to this party! IT IS A SECRET!!! So please do not let him know about it.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT 5:45 so that you will be here when he arrives.
Potluck: I will supply the meat and drinks if you will all bring a side or dessert.
Please wear the BRIGHTEST array of color you can. Kids are welcome! Everyone is welcome!
Your donation is your RSVP. Please just let me know how many you plan to bring with you so that I can have enough food for all.

P.S. If we get extra donations, we will get Ken the third pair that allows him to wear them at events where you constantly go from outdoors to indoors. So don't hesitate to donate even if you see we have reached our goal.
