Farrah Update - 12/04/2012

Hello, everyone!

This will be my last update on this website, as I will be closing the GoFundMe page today.

It has been an amazing journey with Farrah and her family, and I am honored to have assisted by raising these funds, and creating the Farrah Soudani SNT, to help Farrah get her life back on track after this horriffic tragedy. There have been more than 6,300 donations, and over 114,300 visits to this page, and I am humbled at your care and consideration.

Farrah does continue to heal remarkably well from her physical wounds, and she is nearly off all pain medications. This is remarkable, given the mass amounts of pain meds she was taking. I give her great kudos for taking charge of her pain management, and weaning herself off the pain meds.

She is embarking on new endeavors and wants to go to school. She will be investigating which school and what course of study suits her interests.

She wants to venture out on her own soon, by getting an apartment with a friend. The Trust will help with her rental and utility costs. We recently found a modest, inexpensive, safe vehicle for her, and the Trust has secured this purchase for her.

We continue to recognize the amazing outpouring of love and support that the thousands of kind friends and strangers have bestowed upon her, and we are ever so grateful for all you have done to help Farrah move on from this terrible event.

The Trust address remains the same, for now, and if anyone wishes to write or send well wishes to Farrah via mail, you may do so at:

8357 N. Rampart Range Road
Unit 106, #120
Roxborough, CO 80125

If you wish to send an email, you may do so at:

messagetofarrah@comcast.net

Again, on behalf of Farrah, her parents Heidi and Sam Soudani, and myself, we thank you ALL from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you have shown this brave, young woman.

We wish you and your families a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and wishes for a safe and prosperous New Year!

With Peace, Love, and Light,

Victoria Albright

Farrah Update - October 15, 2012 It...

Farrah Update - October 15, 2012

It has been nearly a month since I posted an update. Much has happened since my last update.

Farrah and Heidi have returned home to Heidi's house; Farrah's new bedroom suite is amazing, and she loves it so much. Thanks to our dear friend, Larry, for his generous donation of her bedroom suite.

Farrah continues to struggle with her internal injuries. She has been to the doctors and they have changed up her medication to deal with the constant pain she has, especially internally. Her organs are attempting to find a resting place in her body, without her spleen and left kidney, and her ribs continue to heal. Farrah told me that her docs told her that it may take up to a year for those ribs to be fully healed. Her calf and leg continue to heal, and Farrah can almost put her foot down flat; stretching that calf muscle. The donor site is looking amazing!

Farrah has constant memories of that night, and has trouble sleeping sometimes, because of the dreams. She did go back to the theater about 10 days ago, and it was very difficult for her. She met several of her friends there, who were in the theater with her that evening. She was shocked to see that the entire lobby was stripped of carpet. Theater number 9 is completely stripped of the seats, carpet, and the movie screen. She told Heidi that she thinks that she will need to do some counseling to deal with the trauma. Everyone is dealing with this traumatic event differently; some better than others. We wish all the victims and their families the strength to get their lives back.

Farrah has had two visits to the two wonderful dentists who so graciously donated their time to help her. She had appointments with both Dr. Andrea Taylor and Dr. Tom Bonbright, and had a cleaning, fillings filled, and other examinations. Further services are to be determined based on her needs.

Regarding the Trust set up by Farrah's cousin and brother, there has been no word on where the money and other "in-kind" donations have gone. Farrah has not received one penny from that Trust. I received a call from the Colorado Attorney General's office today, and they had some questions about my fundraising efforts and the SNT that I set up for Farrah. They have asked to meet with me, and I am very happy to provide them with all the information they want. I have kept meticulous record of every penny raised. I will update you all after they visit me next week.

Farrah continues to receive a few donations here and there, and as always we are so very thankful for the outpouring of love and support shining on Farrah and her family.

The picture attached was taken this past weekend, at a celebration for Heidi's upcoming birthday. In the picture from left to right are: Heidi, Jack (my co-Trustee), Farrah, and myself. Farrah looks amazingly well, doesn't she!!

We wish everyone peace, health, happiness, and light.

Farrah Update – September 20, 2012 Farrah...

Farrah Update – September 20, 2012

Farrah continues to improve. Her tummy still bothers her quite a bit, but for what she’s been through she is doing amazingly well! I know you are all keeping her in your continued thoughts and prayers. You have helped her get so far in her recovery.

As for The Farrah Soudani Support Trust, set up by Farrah’s cousin Marty Soudani - There has been NO accounting for the Support Trust that Marty Soudani set up. He and his co-Trustee screamed at the tops of the roofs about my intentions for the money I raised for Farrah, to the point of sending out nasty fliers through my community; I am still getting them in the mail. Well, I did exactly what I said I would do. I said that I would never let this money get in to the wrong hands, and it would never be manipulated, and it would be put in a Trust with Farrah as the beneficiary; and that’s what was done. Too bad they didn’t practice what they preached! Remember all the hoopla about them doing everything for Farrah? What? When? Where? Didn’t happen! Help us get justice for Farrah, please. If you are outraged that ALL donations raised by Farrah’s “Family”, i.e. her cousin and brother have been returned from the www.farrahsoudani.com funding site, which has also been taken down, please reach out to the Colorado Attorney General’s office and tell them you want The Farrah Soudani Support Trust to be investigated.

Colorado Office of the Attorney General

Marty Soudani and his co-Trustee claim in many national news outlets to have reaised over $95,000 for Farrah, but the money NEVER reached Farrah.

To date, we have no idea where the money has gone. Marty promised an explanation on their site, but then the site was taken down. Cowards they are! The $560 that was deposited directly in to their Trust bank account, but it hasn’t been sent. The money from the car wash and bake sale hasn’t been sent, money for the puppy auction hasn’t been sent. NO MONEY HAS BEEN TURNED OVER TO FARRAH from that fundraising site.

Farrah has had no communication with her brother or cousin for weeks, but she did get a text from a third party representing them, who stated that they are just “heartbroken” and want FARRAH to fix this mess. Seriously? That is ridiculous. Let me be clear: FARRAH DIDN’T CREATE THIS MESS, THEY DID!!! All they did was badger Farrah to choose sides; they spoke horribly about her parents. Her parents were told that they could not set foot in Marty’s home. That’s why she came here, to my home, to recuperate; she couldn’t take the constant badgering, and nastiness that they were continually spewing. And when she came here, that’s when they sent all the money back. They said that they could not guarantee how the money would be spent. Really? THEY were the Trustees. Trustees who couldn’t be trusted; it is so sad for Farrah.

Farrah and I were talking the other day and she was saying how disappointed she is that her own relatives snatched this money right out from under her. She said that she was hoping to use that money to get a fresh start, and wanted to use the money in the SNT that I set up to invest and use at a later date. Then she started crying, because she said that she was so hurt at what they did to me. She said that she could not believe how hateful, cruel, and mean they are. That touched me so much; Farrah was thinking of me, and caring about how I was treated throughout all of this. She is so appreciative for all of my help, and we’ll be great friends forever.

Dr. Andrea Taylor called me back, and had no idea that the other funding site had returned all of the donations! She asked me why they would do that, and all I could say is that this is a really great question. It will work itself out eventually, and as they claimed, Farrah will be made whole. Dr. Taylor, together with Dr. Tom Bonbright, will take care of Farrah’s dental needs. We sincerely thank both Dr. Taylor and Dr. Bonbright for their generous donations to help Farrah. She is also in need of an eye exam, so if there are any eye docs out here in the Denver area who will see Farrah, please email me at this site.

Heidi received the official White House photos from the President’s visit, and Farrah had indicated that she was disappointed that she did not get to shake the President’s hand, because her hands still had caked, dried blood on them when he visited. Heidi called the White House, and they are going to let Farrah know if/when the President is in town again, and she may get another visit.

Farrah continues to try to get her life back on track. There are still many people sending Farrah well wishes, cards, gifts, and donations. We want to thank Transwest Trucks locally here in Denver, where they did a fundraiser for Farrah and raised $1,125. The money has been put in the SNT for Farrah. Thank you Transwest Trucks!

Farrah still needs a vehicle, and the Trust can help her with the purchase. A car was donated to the other funding site, but it is now gone. If there are any dealerships that may be willing to help get Farrah a modest, safe, AWD vehicle, please email me at this site. Thank you.

If you wish to send Farrah any correspondence, or donation, you may do so at:

You may email Farrah at:

We send our heartfelt thanks; and peace to everyone.

Please help with anything you can give, to help Farrah Soudani, and family.  Farrah was tragically, critically injured in the Colorado theatre massacre.  She was one of, if not the first, injured.  She was hit by an explosive that took out much of her mid-section, and left leg, among many other injuries.  Farrah is holding strong in ICU.  Farrah did not have health insurance, and her mother is going to be out of work for some time, to be at Farrah's side, and providing care after she is released from the hospital.  Please give anything you can!  Peace, love, and light!  And most of all, thank you for your caring generousity.

In regards to the fundraising efforts: Our family was deeply saddened by the events that occured that day. We were wanting to do something to help and came up with the idea of making t-shirts and selling them to help raise funds for Farrah. Our children helped with the design, we had a friend do the print screening, and we were able to sell them at the SteveO's Pizza car wash/bake sale. We weren't sure how to get the money we would raise to Farrah until her brother and cousins showed up at the fundraiser. We were thrilled that we now had a connection and were even more thrilled when we heard about the $10,000 match. The kids stepped up their game, went to a local grocery store and stood outside getting donations and selling the shirts. My husband and I both posted on our FB page that we had t-shirts to sell and would drive to deliver the shirts. We raised a total of $560. A deposit was made to Front Range Bank on August 15, 2012 with the hopes that it would be matched. Now, it appears that money is unaccounted for. Our intent was to just simply do good. I have lived in Aurora my whole life and was rocked to the core that something like this happened to our city. We would like to see that money be accounted for, returned to us so that we may send it directly to Farrah, to simply do good. Farrah, you are an amazing person! I am so glad that your recovery is going well and that you are stronger each day! Your smile and attitude make you an inspiration to many!

So glad that you are doing better Farrah. Mike Sr., Mike (Tory), and my mom Michelle are doing well also. My mom finally made it a full day at work about two weeks ago. I am so happy that all of you are able to recover with such high spirits. My heart goes out to you!

As you read through these comments, please take note that Trustee, Soudani, claims that all monies raised on their "FAMILY" funding site will be "LEGALLY" placed in to Trust for Farrah. We all know now that this is NOT true , as ALL donations have been returned without Farrah's knowledge or consent. No explanation was given. An explanation of their actions was promised, but never delivered. They later claimed that Farrah knew the donations were being returned, and she had no interest in that money. This is 100% not true. Farrah was never notified, consulted, or given a choice regarding these funds. The other funding site is no longer accepting donations, and the Facebook page associated with that Trust is no longer active. Thank you to everyone who did donate to this site, as the funds are secured, and have been placed in an Irrevocable Special Needs Trust. Farrah has complete control over how these funds are spent. Some of the donations that were returned by the other funding site were: a vehicle, dental work, and other in-kind donations. The Trustees to that site claim that there were no cash donations, however there were car washes, a puppy auction, and other events that brought in cash donations. How can those be returned? Is that little puppy going to be ripped from its new home, or are the monies from this auction going back to the donor, and the puppy being given for free? Where are the funds from that auction? Anyone who wishes that this incident be looked in to further may send a complaint to the Colorado Attorney General's office at: stop.fraud@state.co.us. We need your voices here in Colorado to be heard. Help Farrah get the answers she deserves regarding the blatant misrepresentation by the Trustees of the www.farrahsoudani.com fundraising site, and the Farrah Soudani Support Trust. File a complaint to stop.fraud@state.co.us. As always, any questions regarding this funding site or The Farrah Soudani Irrevocable Special Needs Trust may be directed to me by clicking on the Contact button on this site. Thank you, Victoria

Any time you accept a payment from PayPal, you are charged a fee for using their service. I fail to see how going through a family website that uses PayPal is any different than going through a website like this, which has its own expenses to think about. A good thing...is a good thing. Make a donation however you wish...the important thing is Farrah, and her well-being.

I donated here myself. Someone below wanted some facts so I provided them. Nothing wrong with that.

@sean rennine you do understand that credit card processors take at least 2.75% or more for every transaction. if gofundme is making 1.25 on the donations for providing such an amazing web service, God Bless them - guess you just want everything for free - KCCO

This site does take a 5% cut on each donation made. Look at number 6 on this site's own "Learn How to Fundraise" page.

@Dustin, Thank you for posting that, you read my mind.....KCCO people!

@Jordan - While I no doubt believe your heart is in the right place being concerned about these things, get the facts and report facts only if there are any. Speculation or uncertainty will only drive people away and keep them from donating. If there's anything crooked going on, by all means, scream it from rooftops, but unfounded or incorrect suspicions will only hurt the cause. Keep everyone focused. KCCO.

@ Jordan- I wish I saw this info earlier. Here's to hoping all of these donations are going to Farrah.

posted by Christina Balderaz-Ramirez 10 months ago

I want to clarify here... I do know Victoria and everyone else associated with this website. I am not insinuating that they are trying to use Farrah's tragedy to make a monetary gain. I am simply stating that www.farrahsoudani.com is LEGALLY protecting Farrah's funds from bankruptcy, collectors, ill intentioned participants, etc. There is notorized documentation that 100% of the proceeds will go to Farrah. The same cannot be said about this site. In all reality, I would like 100% of the proceeds here to go to the FAMILY website. I have apprehensions about the fact that they say they are all for Farrah's well-being yet won't work with the family. Not only that, but they are trying to promote this site on the family site. That raises a red flag for me and should for anyone else. Once again, the FAMILY'S website is www.farrahsoudani.com and I encourage all of you to donate to that site and encourage the funds from this site to be placed into that for safe keeping and maximum efficiency towards Farrah's care. Thank you all for you support!!
