Hi, my name is Shanna Tokarsky, I am organizing fundraising efforts to help the Haworth family rebuild their home.
I first heard of the Haworth's story through their online video submission to HGTV. After all that they have sacrificed for our country, my family's freedom, and as a fellow Olmsted Falls Alumni, I felt compelled to do something more to help. Sitting around and hoping that HGTV would pick up their story was not enough. As a small business owner in the local community, my team of AdvoCare health and wellness coaches came together to come up with a plan to help the Haworth Family.
Change for a Cause was born!
Change For a Cause has 2 goals...
1. Help 1000 people lose 10-15 pounds before May 1st with an
all-inclusive diet, exercise (optional) and nutritional solutions program that includes
FREE coaching throughout, called the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. And with our new online coaching and support group, moderated by our Team's leading fitness and nutrition professionals!
2. Raise $10,000 for The Haworth Family. For every participant that joins our 24 Day Challenge we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Haworth family.
How many would be willing to make healthy lifestyle changes
for a greater cause?
If you or anyone that you know could
benefit from our services please help get the word out! We have the ability to work with
people all over the country! They do not have to be local.
Fill out your contact information on the form HERE to have a wellness coach contact you with more information on how to get started.
We also will be working with other local businesses to help raise additional funds:
- The CrossFit Box will be hosing a Fundraising workout on February 23rd starting at 10am. Click HERE to get REGISTERED
-Consultative Insurance Group
(Ron Smith and Associates) will donate $10 to the Haworth family on
your behalf, by agreeing to be contacted for a no-purchase obligation
quote on your insurance package. Fill out your info HERE to participate.
(we will be adding more fundraising opportunities from local businesses as the come up)
Please
take advantage of as many of these offers as possible! Help a local military family in need AND support local
businesses! Feel free to make
additional donations as well!
Our goal is to pull together to help cover as much of the $100,000 as possible by May 2013! All funds raised will be used by the Haworth Family to rebuild their home.

I am a member at Lord of Life ELCA in Bainbridge Ohio , our congregation has done disaster relief both local and around the country and I am sure we could help reassembling the house . No doubt the removal af the drywall and mold need to be done by professionals . Please let me know if we can help . Wally 330-274-8562

I am a tile installer, and can do a lot of finishing work (trim carpentry, drywall, paint). I would like to offer as much of my time as I can give, and I plan to talk to my boss about donating some time as well. If I am slow to respond to facebook, it is not because I changed my mind, or anything, I'm just bad about checking facebook.
