Purchasing food for the Orphan High schools in Gilgal.
Kenya has a really food shortage following a drought that has been here for the last two years. This has caused famine in the country. The food stuffs have gone up five times and its not readly available.Gilgal has 8 weeks to go before they break for one month for Holidays.They consume 2 bags of Corn per week, 1 bag of Beans per week which the main food stuffs in kenya.We have 80 students in Gilgal Orphan high school.
We need the following food for the 8 weeks remaining.
1. Maize (corn) 16 bags x ksh 5000 per bag........ksh 80,000= $ 1000
2. Beans 8 bags x ksh 8000 per bag.................ksh 64 000 = $ 800
One bag of corn costs....ksh 5000 = $ 63
One bag of Beans costs..ksh 8000 = $ 100
Any help will be highly appreciated.
